2. THERE WILL BE A SIMULTANEOUS EXHIBITION AFTER THE TOURNAMENT
The current County Champion will take on all comers simultaneously
The public is invited as observers or participants.
You may begin any time between 3:30 and 4:30.
This tournament will not be rated. USCF memb is not required
The extra late entry fee on Sat. Morning is cancelled and it will still be $10.

2014 Murray Calloway County Chess Championships

Open to all, but only
county residents are eligible for county titles.
The Mur-Cal Chess Club
will host the county championship chess tournament on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014
on the third floor of the Curris Center in Murray KY. Registration will begin at 9:00 and end at 9:30. Each player will have 30 minutes for each
game for a total of 60 minutes for each game. The first round will begin at 9:30,
the second round will begin at 10:30; the third round will begin at noon and
the 4th at approximately 1 PM noon.
We will finish at approximately 2 PM.
This is not a knock-out tournament -- everyone plays each
round.
Trophies will be given
in each category to the county scholastic champions (K-3, K-5, K-8, K-12) and
the tournament winner. The top finishing Murray State Student will
become the 2014 College Champion. There will also be a trophy for the top finisher from
each school system – Calloway, Murray, Lamp.
If
there are sufficient advance entries, then there will be a separate section for
less experienced players. No memberships
are required. There is a $10 entry fee for those who
register in advance (by 6 PM Friday, Feb 21).
No other fees
will be required.
